The Surfside Pier was partially destroyed during a hurricane in 2017. Working with the speed of government, construction started fall of 2020, with the work scheduled to be completed by May 2022.

One of my goals in retirement (yes, you can have those) was to take pictures of the beach each day from approximately the same location and see the changes. I didn’t get to the beach every day, but I did take pictures for over 200 days. I put some of them together in this video. #twissb
