On the road

I’ve had the opportunity to do a lot more driving lately, since I’m no longer tied to a desk. I find it enjoyable, but I have to question the ability and sanity of some of the driver’s I’ve encountered. Some of my concerns: If you’re going to pass, then do it! Why someone has to get next to another vehicle and stay there for miles is beyond me. It’s amazing to be in a pack of 20 cars bumper to bumper at extra-legal speeds, and have four miles of clear road ahead for 10 minutes. Step on the gas, Gladys! If you’re being passed, be passed. A crying need

I was truly offended this week by the stereotyping of the Irish at Saint Patrick’s Day.  Isn’t it bad enough that our patron saint is really British?  Now we have to be serenaded every March with bad versions of “Danny Boy” funny hats, and green beer.  Really, do we celebrate Saint Joseph’s day by dressing as carpenters, showing our butt cracks, and pretending to be Joey the Carpenter?  Are we supposed to carry bows and arrows on Valentine’s Day to honor that Saint?  I don’t think so. I think all Gaelic American’s should rise up as one and say “NO” to overcooked corned beef, which really is Jewish anyway, flat…

Learning curve

I’m still learning how this page works. It’s similar to the C.A.R.T. webpage I’ve been working on, but some of the options appear differently. You can teach a old dog new tricks, but the barking can be fierce at times. I’ve added some vacation pictures to keep my chief critic off of my back. The site had too many cars, I guess!
